What types of fencing projects do you offer?

Capitol Fence can handle all of your Residential and Commercial fencing needs. We offer all types of fencing materials that can be tailored to your property.

How do I get a free quote?

Fill out our contact form or, give our office a call, or simply email sales@capitolfence.net. One of our team members will reach out to schedule an on-site appointment to discuss your fencing needs.

Can I get a site-unseen quote?

While we can provide a site-unseen quote with some basic information, we recommend you schedule an appointment to discuss your fencing goals. When it comes to materials, there are many options to choose from, plus, depending on the grade of your property or reason for the fence, we may recommend a different solution than what you had in mind.

Why do you recommend an on-site quote?

Factors such as landscaping, property grade, and nearby building structures will be considered when providing you with a quote. An in-person quote is the best way for our installation team to determine the best plan for your fencing project. Plus, we like to meet our customers in person and for them to meet us. Partnering with people you know, like, and trust is important.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Once our team has a chance to look at your property and discuss your goals, we can provide a quote usually within 24hrs to 48hrs.

When can you install my fence?

Our team will reach out with a tentative week, once you have signed your fencing project contract. This is usually between 3 and 5 weeks depending on time of year. As we get closer to your install date, we can be more specific to an approximate day / time.

How long does it take to install a fence?

The length of any fence project will be affected by a number of factors – fencing material, linear footage, property grade, weather & more. But a typical residential fence installation will take between 1-3 business days.

Should I choose a pressure-treated or cedar?

Both are great options for different reasons. Pressure-treated wood holds up nicely to weather and insects and best, if you are looking for a budget-friendly solution. Cedar offers durability and beauty, but the cost of cedar fencing tends to run higher than pressure-treated. All wood will twist, warp, and crack over time, however pressure-treated treated tends to do so more than cedar, making cedar a clear winner!

Do I need a fence permit?

If you’re uncertain whether a permit is needed, we recommend contacting your local or county zoning office for clarification. For properties within a neighborhood governed by a Homeowners Association (HOA), you may need to obtain HOA approval before applying for a fence permit. Capitol Fence is also available to assist you throughout both processes.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, all of our fencing jobs are covered under our workmanship warranty. And in some cases, the manufacturer offers a limited lifetime warranty on their products.

What about underground utilities?

We call OUPS to mark all public utilities before starting your fence project. In some cases when your fence line is over utilities, together we can choose to either shift your fence away from utilities or discuss the option of using our Hydrovac process (may be an additional charge). We do ask customers to ensure that all private underground utilities are marked for us (ex: sprinkler systems, gas fire place lines, etc…)

What forms of payment do you accept?

We like to keep it simple. We accept cash, credit cards, checks, and third-party financing options.
